It does not get simpler to teach preschoolers to care for their community than by having them complete this simple community service project. Journaling is something that preschool kids can do! Creating a simple journal for daily drawing or writing practice is a great keepsake as well. Kids get exercise and learn basic concepts with these fantastic DVDs and CDs for kids that I had the chance to try out with my children. They are a favorite to listen to and watch in our house.

Building up number sense, including number recognition and counting, takes a lot of time and practice. No matter what you're interested in, we’re sure you can find a podcast your little one enjoys and listen to it together. If the weather is nice, it’s highly recommended you go out into the sunshine and have some fun after being cooped up together. Not only will that lift your mood, it will also help you both expend some pent-up energy. This silly activity will have your child laughing for sure! As your child makes the pinecone person, you’ll find your child will invest her pinecone with a personality and backstory.
Preschool activities like this one not only aid fine motor skills but also spark imagination and creativity! So give your child’s little fingers some practice while they experiment with making their own art. Make use of empty toilet roll tubes lying around to play this fantastic ping-pong alphabet game that clubs literacy with fine motor skills. Very young children may find painting, drawing and coloring frustrating, as they don’t yet have the motor skills to do as good a job as they’d like. That’s why collage is such a fun art activity to share with your child.
Thanksgiving Placemats and Conversation Cards
Take a simple repair, and walk your child through the steps of how to fix it. You can show them how different tools work, and you can even let them test them out ! Letting preschoolers perform simple tasks themselves will make them feel like grown ups, too. Before trash pickup day, look through your recycling bin and see what you could use to build a robot together. Your goal is to use found objects to make something new and fun.
Add some shapes for complete learning with Play dough geometry. Challenge your preschool kids to make letters by bending and moulding pipe cleaners. They can start with easy letters like C, I, J, L, N, O and gradually progress to trickier letters.

Glue these wether icons on one end of the twine and the tie the other end onto a twig. Hang it near a window and let your preschooler call out what’s the weather like each day of the week. These simple, easy to do science activities will help your little champs exercise their mental muscle, buildcritical reasoningand logical thinking. Preschoolers are naturally curious and ask a zillion questions. Make sure to encourage this innate genius streak by including preschool science activities at home. Use pom-poms in different colors to create patterns and let your preschooler recognize the pattern and build on the pattern.
