Preschoolers need the freedom to explore and experiment. Art allows children to practice a wide range of skills that are useful not only for life but also for learning. Never run out of ideas for fun preschool activities to do at home or in the classroom. We have found so many fun ways for kids to play and learn together! Playful learning is about creating joy, wonder, and curiosity.
Either way it is fun and your preschooler will thoroughly enjoy it. This activity works wonders for fine motor skills and adds sensorial dimension to your child’s menu of writing activities. Preschool activities need not be ‘educational’ in a conventional way. That is to say instead of focusing on just teaching alphabets, you may choose toread aloud to your child, like a preschool teacher would at circle time. So, even though it might seem silly or annoying to you, repeat key ideas from your preschool curriculum you want to impart several times. This is going to help your child to learn the knowledge they need to be successful once school picks back up again.

Find places that other family members or friends live. Get some paper and make a map of your neighborhood or even your home. If the closures last an extended period of time, I do think there will be a need for a plan about this. But right now, with everyone everywhere scrambling . Listen to the guidance coming from your child’s teacher. Many states are trying to decide how to move forward. Your kids’ teachers and schools are likely still figuring this out too.
It’s a great way to engage your child’s imagination while helping them learn how to articulate their thoughts.
